Vinification • Open cask fermented, manual punch-downs, cold-soaked for 4 days prior to spontaneous fermentation. 5 days post-fermentation maturation on skins with pump-overs. Malolactic fermentation is done in oak. Racked after and returned for further maturation.
Oak • 50% new French oak, 500 and 300-litre casks were used, 28 months in oak.
Winemakers
Notes • Opulent Malbec with prominent tones of liquorice, complemented with dark fruit and beautifully rounded off with a soft kiss of oak to waken that spice up a bit. Lingering tones of a blockbuster fruit show that ends off with a massive bang.
